Do., 20. August | 19:00 Uhr | Stephansplatz nahe Churhausgasse
You are invited to join us for a guided prayer walk through the heart of Vienna. We will meet at Stephansplatz near the side of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, close to Churhausgasse, at 19:00 on Thursday, August 20, where we can gather without standing in the busiest part of the square.
Together, we will walk slowly through the Innere Stadt, pausing at meaningful places of history, beauty, remembrance, and public life. Along the way, we will use simple prompts to pray for the city, its people, its leaders, vulnerable communities, and the nations represented here. This beginner-friendly experience is designed for everyone, including those who have never participated in a prayer walk before.
Prayer Walking – means we are going to walk slowly, notice what is around us, and turn what we see into prayer. You do not need experience. You do not need impressive words. Short prayers are good prayers. Silence is also welcome. We will be respectful in public spaces; we will not block sidewalks, and we will keep sensitive places quiet and dignified. Our goal is to see Vienna with compassion and ask God to bless this city.
